Halls

Charity champion at Cathedral Court

By TerSL 07 Jun 2018

Cathedral Court resident Nikola Dzierzak has been very community spirited in the last few weeks.  As well as arranging an end of year party for the hall Thanks for the Mems, she organised a raffle for charity and put posters around the hall asking for charity donations.  All food items donated went to the Hope Centre, on Curzon Street and clothes were put in the British Heart Foundation donation bins.

Before you leave halls, don’t forget to donate your unwanted items to a good cause, like Nikola.

  • Unopened food items which are within date can be left in your flat.  Please put a note on them so we know they are to be donated.
  • Unwanted bric-a-brac and clothes can be put in the British Heart Foundation charity bins at your halls.
  • And finally any clean, unwanted duvets should be put in a clean bin bag and labelled up so staff know you want to donate them.  These will be given to PACE, a local charity. PACE’s prime objective is to deliver effective affordable services and housing for disadvantaged people in Derby and Derbyshire.

As the British Heart Foundation says ‘Pack for Good’ it’s a win win situation so get donating!
