Duvet donating at a great PACE!

By TerSL 08 May 2017

Students in halls have donated 70 duvets to a local charity called PACE.  The duvets were donated before students left halls for the summer and the initiative was set up by Kaylie Siddons a University of Derby student who was on placement at the Student's Union.

Kaylie said:

When I realised that duvets couldn’t be donated to the British Heart Foundation, the main charity, promoted in halls , I thought maybe we could support a local charity as well. PACE can make good use of unwanted duvets and pillows and it’s such a great charity to support. It helps people practically but also gets them to think about their health, well-being and future in order to promote independence.

Students simply had to pop a sticker saying Donate me on unwanted items and then the duvets were collected together for PACE

Well done everyone involved !
