Join the Debating and Speakers Society

By TerSL 03 Sep 2016

This society meets once a week to discuss recent topics picked by members. The group uses the power of words, knowledge and speaking skills to debate important issues of the day.

Debating is not just a way to voice your opinion in a thought-provoking and constructive manner.  By learning to debate, these skills can be transferred to your essays. By standing up and speaking, members grow in self-confidence for giving seminars and speaking in class.  By gaining a stronger voice, your skills will help you in your university life and beyond.

Once the weekly debate is over, members socialise .  They are a chatty and like to go out to wherever their members choose, to make new friends, have a laugh and continue the conversation on a lighter note.
