Being a Social Rep in your halls is a pretty good gig! You get paid to attend events such as paintballing, sports tournaments, BBQs, festivals, roller-skating, days out to cities, Harry Potter World trips and many, many more!
The role is to be the ‘go to’ person at your hall. You will organise social events and activities in your common room and help spread the word about events that are happening throughout the academic year, and you will get to know everyone living in halls and be the person that they approach with ideas for events.
It’s pretty simple really: be the social butterfly at your hall, get people involved and HAVE FUN! (Oh yeah, did we mention you get paid to do all of the above?)

In this role, you're given creative freedom. You can suggest what you want, come up with silly ideas, and still get paid for it at the end of the month. It's one of those jobs where you don't ever get to chill, but in a way, you don't want to because there's always something exciting on tomorrow, always new people that you're going to meet, and always new challenges ahead. The best feeling is having a sold out event, it running smoothly, and getting great feedback from happy faces at the end. It's worth it every time.
