Moving out on 30 June? Avoid being stranded

By TerSL 01 May 2018

Leaving day for all 42 week contracts in halls is Saturday 30 June but many private accommodation providers will not begin their contracts until 1 July and it may be that you will be left without accommodation and somewhere to put your belongings for the night of Saturday 30 June.

Don’t panic

If you will be in this situation and would like accommodation for the night of 30 June you will need to apply to halls as a summer stayer. All summer stayers in Derby will be accommodated at Princess Alice Court.  Please be aware that even if you are currently staying at Princess Alice Court, you may not be able to stay in your room for any additional nights.

Summer stayers at both Derby and Buxton (those who want to stay in halls after the night of 29 June) for one night or several nights should apply online. You can apply as a summer stayer by logging into your existing Student Living account or by filling in the online form. For more information click here

Now you know the score make sure you make arrangements for the night of 30 June!
