Volunteering and internship placements

By TerSL 25 Jan 2018

Want to add volunteering to your CV?

Looking for an internship with a difference?

Steps for the Future a local charity which supports vulnerable adults through a person centred approach would like to hear from you.

Opportunities include helping run a dance class and being involved with the wellbeing club.  The charity’s mission is to improve and enrich lives and to motivate members to achieve personal and professional fulfilment.

Current student Harry Selfe is currently involved with the charity and finds the work rewarding and enjoyable.  He said:

I enjoy working with Steps for the Future because they have been nothing but completely welcoming to me with a real passion (both with staff and students). With being a small Charity, they have been very supportive and understanding – I feel like I can talk directly to any of the staff, including the CEO Maggie, about any of my concerns. Also, seeing the dance studio myself just reaffirms everything the Charity stands for. I may be a fundraising intern, but they ensured that I witnessed directly the work of the Charity making my work feel fulfilling.
